Netherton Scarecrow Walk

This is an annual event that has been running since 2014. Every year villagers are encouraged to get their creative juices flowing and put scarecrows in their gardens for everyone to see. 

Prizes are given for the winning scarecrow as voted for by the public, the makers and for the most correct answers in the Guess The Scarecrow Competition as well as other prizes over the weekend. 

Every year we have a fantastic turnout (often even despite the British summer weather!) and we’d like thank everyone who takes the time to go round the village and pick their favourite. Have a look at all the amazing creations on our gallery page >>

The next Scarecrow Walk will be on 3rd and 4th July 2027. The theme is Childhood Nostalgia – something from your childhood that you remember fondly. It could be a book, a film, an advert, a game, a TV programme or anything that defined your childhood. We’d love you to be involved so get in touch to register your scarecrow.
